On May 24th of this year, the 2025 Qingtai International Industrial Design Festival was held in Suzhou Qingtai International Industrial Design Village located in Xiangcheng District. A number of industrial cooperation projects were signed with innovative partners, China's first industrial Design-Specific Large Model was released, and the China Engineering Design Science Joint Laboratory was released. 

This model is China's first design platform for the manufacturing industry, covering 14 industries including home appliances and clothing in the first phase. The China Industrial Design Association initiated the construction of the Zhonggong Design Science Joint Laboratory, which is jointly participated by top design research institutions, universities, and industry leaders in China. It is designed for original basic research in design and is open to master's and doctoral teams in universities and R&D departments of enterprises across the country. It will take design science as its core, focus on cutting-edge technologies and key issues in industrial design, and carry out interdisciplinary and cross disciplinary research and innovation. Through the deep integration of industry, academia, research and application, accelerate the transformation of scientific research achievements, provide high-quality design solutions for enterprises, and promote the development of Suzhou's industrial design industry towards high-quality development.
